Kachemak Bay State Park

Lattitude: 59°26'16.44''N (59.4379)
Longitude: 151°25'4.8''W (-151.4180)

Site of fish hatchery, busy place during salmon season, trailhead to Jakolof and to Tutka Lake

Entering lagoon is tricky; must be done an hour before or after high tide when there is enough water to take a boat in without hitting rocks in the shallow river that enters the lagoon.  Technically, there is road access from Jakalof Road on the trail that leads from the road to the lagoon.  Only hikers can use the trail.  Water access to the trail is either an hour before or after high tide.

Vessel Access:
suitable for fishing boats

Access Difficulty:
strong currents with tide change, narrow entrance

Only enter an hour before or after high tide.
