Campsite is below ranger station in Halibut Cove Lagoon.  Site has fire rings, tent sites, aging latrine, and bulletin board.  Three nearby public use cabins and lots of hiking trails.  Good fishing for king salmon in summer.  Can access by foot from other trailheads.  Boat access only during high tide since lagoon channel is shallow and has strong current.  Watch for day breezes, which can be severe in the lagoon.

High tide only.

Access Difficulty:
Can only enter lagoon on high tide; shallow channel and strong current.

Hazards:
Watch for winds.

Three nice public use cabins to rent but you need to plan ahead and reserve them early. Two are accessible from the main dock. The other is accessible via a steep set of stairs, boats must be moored offshore for this one.
