September 4, 2015: During the Wooden Boat Festival, several kayaks and variations on wooden paddle boats started at The Rock and paddled to various locations (Depending on individual preferences) including Green Timbers, Mud Bay or out to a large group of Sea Otters outside of Mud-Bay. Weather was perfect and the Bay was calm making for a great trip!

On June 20, 2014, the launch site area was crowded with campers and fishermen vehicles. Time your launch to avoid day use parkers if possible.
